Challenge Your Facilities to Practice Safety

  • Identifying workplace hazards
  • Encouraging discussions about safety
  • Promoting safety awareness programs or initiatives

What can your team do prevent injuries before they happen?

Workplace safety is a top priority, but it can be taken for granted. To ensure safety was an everyday concern, the LMP Workplace Safety team in the Northwest issued a challenge to their 16 facilities. The aim was to create a more consistent protocol across the region. The yearlong campaign encouraged discussion, promoted awareness programs, and suggested hosting a safety fair or barbecue. Nine of the facilities met the criteria, and the region experienced a 4 percent drop in injury rates in a year-over-year basis.
