After an employee was hurt, the Honolulu Sub-specialty team set out to eliminate the risk of tripping and falling over rolling chairs in exam rooms. Team members figured out the best location for the chair and marked the spot with a flower-shaped sticker on the floor. They also communicated with Environmental Services staff to ensure workers returned the chairs to the right spot after cleaning exam rooms. Since implementing the change, no staff has been injured and the team has spread its best practice to other facilities.
