What can your team do to improve service and care for our members and patients? What else could your team do to help Kaiser Permanente provide high-quality, affordable care?
This Internal Medicine team unit-based team made strides in helping patients keep high blood pressure under control. Then the Affordable Care Act brought in an influx of patients. Because many hadn’t had regular access to preventive care before, lots of them came in with high blood pressure—and team members had to regroup. They found innovative ways to welcome and care for their new patients, while improving service and quality for all members. Your team can do it too.
When health care reform led to an influx of new members, this UBT built on its foundation of teamwork and performance improvement smarts to keep its hard-won quality and service levels great.
